Throughout the tour, you will have the opportunity to taste delicious Georgian wines, enjoy traditional local dishes, and experience the warm hospitality that makes Kakheti one of the country’s most beloved destinations.
This tour is a perfect blend of history, culture, gastronomy, and breathtaking landscapes, leaving you with unforgettable impressions of Georgia’s wine region.
In the morning, we will drive towards the famous wine region of Kakheti, known for its ancient winemaking traditions, fertile valleys, and beautiful mountain landscapes. Our first stop will be the impressive Alaverdi Monastery, an 11th-century cathedral located in the heart of the Alazani Valley. Surrounded by vineyards and the snow-capped peaks of the Great Caucasus, Alaverdi is one of the most important religious and architectural monuments in Georgia.
We will then continue to the historic Gremi Fortress, the former royal citadel and capital of the Kakheti Kingdom during the 16th century. The complex includes a beautiful church, defensive towers, and panoramic views over the surrounding valleys and vineyards.
Afterwards, we will drive to the famous Kvareli Wine Cave, one of the largest wine tunnels in Georgia. Here, you will have the opportunity to taste traditional Georgian wines and enjoy delicious local dishes in a unique atmosphere surrounded by wine cellars carved into the mountain.
In the evening, we will return to Tbilisi.
